From hairstylist to Collector’s canvas: An Unexpected Journey

If someone had told me one day that I would go from styling hair to creating canvases, I would have smiled. Yet this path, as unexpected as it may be, took root much earlier than I thought.

The dream that woke everything up

One day, I had a dream. I was painting, surrounded by brightly colored paintings, free, possessed. When morning came, I told my mother about this dream. She looked at me for a long time, then said, “You’ve always loved to create, even as a child.” She remembered that flame. When I was younger, she had been afraid to encourage me in this direction, for fear that it wouldn’t be a stable path. But that day, she pushed me. Gently but with conviction. She felt that this dream was no accident.

And my sister followed this movement wholeheartedly. One day, she arrived at my house, her arms laden with art supplies. “Here, try it,” she said simply. So I started drawing. Sketching. And then, something reawakened. Everything I thought I’d forgotten was still there. My eye, my hand, my visual memory. I could reproduce it all. It was inside me. Alive. Intact.

And then I touched a paintbrush…

As soon as I dipped that brush into the color, I couldn’t stop. It gushed forth. As if a channel had opened. The more I painted, the more I felt I belonged. It was obvious, profound, overwhelming. I had found the woman I was.

Not just Dani marries him.

Not just Dani the mom.

But Dani. Me, fully.

A thread that connects all my professions

I’m a hairstylist, a makeup artist, and now a painter. These three worlds may seem far apart, but for me, they form the same language: that of beauty, gesture, and intuition. In each, there is a direct connection with humanity, a listening ear, a sensitive eye focused on what deserves to be highlighted.

My hair salon, Glam Ô Naturel, is a space of transformation, authenticity, and expression. I celebrate natural textures, multiple identities, and both natural and enhanced faces. In my studio, I pursue this quest for truth, poetry, and fulfillment, but this time through colors, shapes, and symbols.

Creating beauty… differently

In makeup, I reveal. In hairstyling, I shape. In painting, I translate. Emotion always remains at the center. The desire to touch, without saying, to tell without imposing. This is what creates the invisible link between all these gestures, all these lives that I carry within me.

A balanced path

Being an artist, hairstylist, and makeup artist means living at the intersection of the moment and the lasting. It’s also a challenge, but above all, a richness. My daily life is woven with color, listening, and creation. And today, I know that it’s this diversity that makes my signature, this blend that makes me whole.
