The story behind the scenes : Éclosion

When I chose the word “Eclosion” for my first solo exhibition, I knew it carried within it everything I was experiencing: a passage, a transformation, an opening to the world. But behind each petal that gently opens, there are also deep roots, invisible gestures, outstretched hands. Today, I want to share with you the behind-the-scenes of this adventure.

What we don’t see…

Behind the walls filled with color, there were months of work: creating, doubting, starting again, varnishing, framing, transporting. Choosing the works, grouping them into collections, giving them an overall meaning. Printing, writing, planning, designing the posters, the labels, the certificates. Thinking about the welcome, the atmosphere, the sensory experience I wanted to offer each visitor.

But what I remember most is the human element. Because without the people around me, none of this would have been possible.

A circle of love and support

My family was the foundation of this Blossoming. My mother, present every day, supported me in every little detail with infinite gentleness. My father, always caring, carried me with his quiet pride. My husband, my pillar, took charge of the day-to-day life with the children to give me the creative space and focus I needed.

And then there was the opening week, intense and luminous.

My sister Meghane, a precious hostess, was present every day of the exhibition. She welcomed visitors warmly, facilitated sales, and watched over every little moment with such grace. My sister Saïda also contributed financially to make this event possible, with a generosity that deeply moved me. My brother, meanwhile, took charge of the DJ, ensuring that the music harmoniously accompanied the visual universe.

My cousin was there from the start, for the installation, the hanging, and until the last day to uninstall everything. His friend, Betty, was a great help with the packing, the day of the opening, and the repacking. Always there, always ready.

My good friend Daïna and her friend Cindy lent their talents to arrange the room with care and elegance, and the appetizers were served with grace. My sister’s friend Witza also delighted the guests with her refined cocktails. And Patrick, the violinist, filled the room with his vibrant and sensitive notes, giving the exhibition an unforgettable touch of sonic magic.

And I can’t forget the faithful presence of my soulmate, Joey. He’s been with me since before Hatching even took shape: photos, website, prints, technical support, logistics—whether for my art or for other important moments in my life like my wedding. Always there, in the shadows, but so essential to the light of this project.

A real village. My village.

This support allowed me to settle down, to live each moment fully, and to feel supported. Even though I was at the center of the exhibition, I was never alone.

And now…

Today, after the emotion, I realize how much more that first exhibition was than an artistic event. It was a rite of passage. An offering. An anchor.

Thank you to those who have walked alongside me, in the light and in the shadows. And thank you to you who are reading these words: you are part of this Blossoming.
